MIXED FRUIT YOGURT PARFAIT RECIPE

Since I discovered yogurt parfait I’ve always wanted to try it out. This is one of the things rich people eat, they just give it a refined name to make it posh.

If you’re tired of eating your favourite staple for breakfast or you want to satisfy your sweet tooth why not try this mixed fruit yogurt parfait, you can eat it as a whole meal or as a dessert, I’m sure you’d love it. It’s healthy, cheap and easy to make.

Yogurt parfait

What you’ll need

  • Yogurt (plain, non-fat or flavoured)
  • Fruits (fresh or frozen, sliced in cubes). Any fruit of your choice can be used (strawberries, papaya, grapes, pineapples, apples, watermelon, bananas, coconuts, dates etc)
  • Honey (If using unsweetened yogurt)
  • Granola ( Use any crunchy cereal and nuts in place of granola).

Procedure

In a glass cup, layer some yogurt at the bottom and allow it to settle.

Add your mixed fruit, top it up with granola/cereals and nuts.

Continue in this manner until your glass is filled.

Serve immediately.

I used apple and carrot for a pop of colour. The texture and taste of yogurt, cereal and fruit juices makes this yogurt parfait irresistible.

Note

Use thick yogurt for this recipe or better still frozen yogurt for a more appealing look. How come nobody told me? I didn’t realize this until after making it.

Do try it out and tell me what you think.
